Peaks from the Plains
The San Francisco Peaks in all their purple mountain majesty as seen from across the high plains nearby. They can finally be seen in their entirety at a distance of over 70 miles away. The principle summit, Humphrey's Peak, tops out over 12,633'. It's one of the 20 tallest mountains in North America, despite being a mere shattered remnant of a once gigantic volcano - much like Mt. St. Helens.
